Personal Data (Privacy) Statement ("Privacy Statement")
Project X-Ray Holding (Hong Kong) Limited, and from time to time, its subsidiaries (together the "Company") (and each being "X-Ray", "we" or "us" for the purposes of this Privacy Statement as appropriate) recognizes its responsibilities in relation to the collection, holding, processing, storage, usage and/or transfer of personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486, laws of Hong Kong) as amended from time to time ("PDPO"). This Privacy Statement is applicable to the members of "the sky/StagE/TaiPo" Members and any other memberships established, owned and controlled by the Company from time to time ("Member(s)") as well as any other persons that their Personal Data (as defined below) is collected, by whatever means, used and retained by the Company (collectively "you").
Including your name, gender, date of birth, email address, telephone number, credit card details, your bonus record, as well as transaction records made known to us will be collected, used and retained by the Company. In case of using mobile application ("App"), Universally Unique Identifier ("UUID") and Android ID will also be collected, used and retained by the Company. The abovementioned data are hereinafter referred to as "Personal Data".
You may provide us with your Personal Data at your own will. Should you be under the age of 18, please consult your parents or guardians before providing your Personal Data. You hereby agree that, if we are unable to obtain such data which is specified as "Compulsory Items", we may not be able to provide your requested services, products, gifts, privileges or information, etc.
The main purposes of collecting, using and retaining Personal Data are as follows:
Credit card information will only be used if and when paying for tickets and other products through website or mobile Apps owned, controlled and/or managed by the Company. Your information may also be disclosed to banks and/or third-party service providers when you make such online payment. You should remain alert when you leave our website or mobile Apps and read the privacy statement of the bank's website or mobile App. We have no control over Personal Data that you submit to or receive from the bank.
Registration for membership; identity verification; statement of fees; bonus points input; gift redemption; purchase and activity contact etc.; contact numbers as the initial password to access a new Member's account where membership is registered offline, and giving out any possible birthday privileges or gifts;
Verification of identity for handling requests of access, correction and erasure of Personal Data;
Carry out statistics and data analysis. Such reports will only contain anonymous data for the Company's clients' reference as well as improving our service and product quality;
The system may memorize the user through registration as a member. By using the same handset, the user is not required to enter his/her password again for the next purchase. We will also monitor and analyze the download status of the App to ensure system performance. UUID and Android ID are collected for the purpose of analyzing the hit rate of our mobile app in order to source and make available promotional or marketing information that you may be interested.
We intend to use your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, and only after obtaining your consent, the Company may send or contact you from time to time to share promotional or marketing information. Promotional and marketing subjects shall include our film introduction, cinema activities, Members' privilege and gifts; also business partners' services and products: travel, banking and finance, beauty and cosmetics, property and shopping mall, entertainment, sports, music, gaming, transportation, automobile, household, fashion & clothing, retail, dining, food, beverage, insurance, gambling, education, health and well-being, drugs, culture & arts, environmental protection, charity, book and magazines, social networking, technology & e-commerce, mobile applications, mobile payment, cloud services, media and consumer products and services. If you object to our use of your Personal Data for the relevant direct marketing purposes, please tick the box at the bottom of the Membership Registration Form. If you do not tick the box, you agree that we may use your Personal Data for the relevant direct marketing purposes. Please feel free to contact us for change of opt-out from receiving future direct promotional and marketing information.
All Personal Data that has been collected from you will only be stored for a limited duration that is relevant to the purpose for which the data was collected and for as long as required by the applicable law. In case of termination of your membership, Personal Data which is no longer required will be destroyed as soon as practicable after we are no longer obliged to retain such data by law.
In order to ensure the correctness of your Personal Data, particularly contact details, retained by the Company, you may receive our request of confirmation or verification. Please feel free to contact us for correction or change of Personal Data. This service is free of charge.
You (or the relevant person as prescribed by PDPO, if applicable) are welcome to contact us in writing for requesting access to a copy of your Personal Data maintained by the Company. Upon receipt of your written request, we will respond to you or the relevant person (if applicable) in writing in accordance with the applicable law.
Your Personal Data collected by us will only be used within the territory of Hong Kong, except that we obtain your written consent of transfer of your Personal Data to outside Hong Kong, or the transfer of your Personal Data is in compliance with PDPO. Your Personal Data collected and maintained by the Company may be transferred to certain professional services companies in Hong Kong for processing on our behalf, or accessed by these companies for facilitating our services. These professional services may include but not limited to ticketing system operation, membership card services, website management, system development and maintenance etc.
We have established in place security measures and monitoring procedures to prevent unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use of the data, and will monitor and ensure services companies to take the same security measures. All personnel that may access to the data will be ensured in compliance with the requirements of data protection.

Apart from the professional services companies and the parties which are allowed to be disclosed with your Personal Data in accordance with the statutory requirements, we will not transfer or disclose any of your Personal Data to any other parties. Your personal information may be used by us and/or any member companies within the Project X-Ray Holding (Hong Kong) Limited for internal demographic studies, for the provision of better tailored news and promotion information to you, or for the verification of your identity when you participate in our events.
You acknowledge and agree that internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. You understand that any message or information you send to us via the internet may be read or intercepted by others, even if there is a special notice that a particular transmission (e.g. credit card information) is encrypted.
The Company has implemented all reasonably practicable procedures, measures and steps to safeguard the security of your Personal Data. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is totally secure. We cannot guarantee its absolute security. Unless there is proved gross negligence, we shall not accept any liabilities arising therefrom. The scope of our liabilities, if any, shall only be limited to and subject to the terms and conditions of the Privacy Statement herein, and the terms and conditions of "the sky/StagE/TaiPo" Members and the sky/StagE/TaiPo website/mobile Apps services owned or controlled by the company respectively.
After clicking on an advertisement or a hyperlink button on our website, you may have left our website and entered the website of a Company's advertising client, content provider, supplier, associated Company or business partner. Your visit to these third parties' websites is not protected by the Policy Statement. These third parties' websites are not owned, controlled or managed by the Company. We have not authorized them to collect any personal data from you. Therefore, we are not responsible for any exposure of your data at these websites or losses arising from a third party website's practice or policy. Please contact the manager or owner of such websites directly for any enquiries or questions about their own privacy practices or policies.
The Company may from time to time revise, update or amend this Privacy Statement, if necessary. The revised Privacy Statement will be posted on our website and mobile Apps with an effective date. Please visit our website and mobile Apps from time to time for the latest information. Your use of our service following the posting of such change to this Privacy Statement will constitute your acceptance of any such changes.
When you browse our website, the internet service provider will store your data. Such data may include IP address, operating system, web browser model, internet supplier and number of storage. The internet service provider will disclose to us your visit only as a "hit" and the web browser model. We collect this data solely for statistic purpose. No Personal Data will be analyzed.
Should there be any differences or inconsistencies between the Chinese version and English version of this Privacy Statement, the English version shall prevail.
